About Our School

Albuquerque High School is one of 13 comprehensive public high schools in Albuquerque Public Schools, the 34th largest school district in the United States. Albuquerque High School was established in 1892, making it one of the oldest high schools in New Mexico. We're located near the downtown Albuquerque area.

We're a hardworking and nationally recognized school. We've been recognized by the Embassy of Spain as the top high school in the United States for Bilingual Spanish Education. US News and World Report ranked us as the high school with the highest level of College Readiness in all of APS. the US News and World Report also ranked us as one of the top 5 high schools in New Mexico and in the top 2% of high schools in the United States. We also have one of the highest pass rates in APS for AP Spanish, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. And to top it all off, we had the most Ivy League college acceptances in 2016 than any other APS high school.
